Toddler Valentine activity

I know Valentine’s Day is still a few weeks away, but I always feel kind of sad when Christmas and New Year’s are over, so I decided to start filling the void early!

Here is a quick and easy to prep toddler activity that I put together for Portia the other day.

All you need is:
-construction paper cut into a big heart (in the colour of your choice)
-paper baking cups
-stickers
-glue

Portia liked the little foam stickers the best and actually was more interested in putting them on her face than on the paper, but she had fun regardless and that’s the whole point! 

There are so many other things you could add to make the heart more detailed: chalk, glitter glue, sparkles etc., but seeing as ‘crafting’ lasts for anywhere from 5-10 minutes with Portia, I thought I would start simple and add as we went along should the need arise.

When her creation was done she told me it was for daddy.  We spent the next hour anxiously awaiting his return home so that she could give the #1 man in her life her heart
