Dedicating his whole world to hockey, my little brother grew up and went on to play his favourite sport at the professional level.  Ryan was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes and I will never forget the morning that Mr. Wayne Gretzky phoned our home to welcome him to the organization.

Ryan has always excelled in sports and he was a dedicated and hard-working student all the while.  Not many athletes are able to keep up a vigorous training routine with daily games and practices, while staying on top of their homework and earning great grades. I have obvious reason to be very proud of my little brother. He has always been so blatantly good in athletics and academics, but most importantly he’s always been such a good person.

My most special memories of Ryan are whenever he won awards for sportsmanship or humanitarianism, because I loved that he was being recognized for how he treats others, for his kindness, for his compassionate side…for the things that matter most in this world.  There will always be great athletes.  There will always be great academics.  What this world needs more of, is great people.

Ryan's 'MO growth'

It is very fitting that Ryan is a part of the “Movember” movement, raising awareness and funds toward Prostate Cancer research.  He is on a team of hockey officials, who are all dedicated to both their careers and their fundraising efforts.  Check out Ryan’s donation page if you are looking to donate to this very important cause!

This Sunday, November 25th, Ryan and the rest of the MOfficials are hosting a fundraising event at The Forum Public House sports bar.  Tickets are $20 which includes cover, a burger and a beer.  Additionally, there are some great prizes to be won that include, but are not limited to:
  • A Carbon Flame 35 Electric Fireplace ($650 value)
  • A Guinness Beer Fridge
  • 4- 30 min Golf Swing Diagnosis sessions from Golf Tec
  • Golf Apparel from Pagota Golf
  • A Jagermeister Gift Basket (Bottle of Jager, Gibsons and Appletons)
  • A Ugi Fitness 10lb Ball and Workout Kit
  • A Decorative Wine box with Bottle of Wine
  • Numerous “MOfficials” T-shirts
  • Official Movember Swag
  • AND MORE!!

Check out their Facebook Event page and come on down to Vancouver’s most ‘worthy’ Grey Cup party.

Hope to see you there!

Thank you so much for reading!
