One of the many things I love about owning and running North Shore Mama is the chance to attend all sorts of inspiring, exciting and informational events. I am usually at at least 1 event per week and there have been weeks where I have attended 2, 3, 4 or 5 events. (It’s not likely I will ever do that again, because although fun to attend, that was just too much on my plate!).
We are lucky to have access to these interesting events in Vancouver and one event that I am especially looking forward to is the Deloitte Women of Influence Luncheon Series coming up on October 27th, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre.
CTV News Anchor, and beloved Vancouverite, Tamara Taggart will be sharing “The Importance of Advocating for Yourself” (over lunch) with us women of Vancouver.
Selected as Broadcaster of the Year by the B.C. Association of Broadcasters in 2014, on October 27th, the multi award-winning television personality will turn the spotlight on herself and share the personal side of her professional journey to the anchor chair.
As a veteran broadcaster and third generation Vancouverite, Tamara has a deep understanding of what matters most to Metro Vancouver residents. But as a busy working mother, Cancer survivor and Chair of the BC Women’s Hospital “Hope Starts Here” campaign, she also has critical insights to share on how to expertly balance countless demands while maintaining a high profile public career.
Join us to get up close and personal with one of Vancouver’s most beloved personalities and be inspired by a true story of strength and resilience.
