I love pretty much everything about the holiday season. Christmas is just my ‘thing’. All the holiday events, pretty decorations, time with family, the food… there’s nothing I don’t love about it. Christmas is different with young kids in the picture.

The Christmas tree decorations are a little less ‘evenly distributed’, the events happen at 4pm instead of 9pm and while we are still in the spirit of the holidays, sometimes it’s from the comfort of our own home!

That is all okay by me! Cozying up on the couch with hot chocolate and a Christmas show is just as exciting, especially when I know it’s the first time the girls are seeing a lot of the shows/movies I grew up loving. This holiday season, you can rely heavily on Netflix on family movie nights. There is so much to watch and enjoy all together.

I introduced the girls (5 and 3) to the Grinch last week and we’ve now seen it a few times since then. 😛 If you’d like to have a little activity to do while your holiday show or movie is playing, here’s an idea!

This year, my goal is to finally get around to setting up some of the awesome play dough kits that my friend Jen over at Mama Papa Bubba posts about all the time. This is a great one for the kids to do over and over again this holiday season!
