Family Fun on the North Shore: Maplewood Farm (& giveaway)
ActivitiesEvents/ActivitiesGiveawaysNorth Shore LifeReviews July 15, 2014 Jessica Blumel 16

We have a gem on the North Shore that I didn’t even know about until Portia was born almost 4 years ago. I couldn’t believe that I had lived on the North Shore my entire life and had never found myself at Maplewood Farm!
Maplewood Farm is just off of Mount Seymour Parkway in North Vancouver. It is probably Portia’s favourite ‘activity’. We have spent entire mornings or afternoons wandering the farm, feeding the ducks and other birds, watching the cows eating their breakfast, petting the goats, and giving the bunnies fresh mint from our garden.
If you’re looking for a children’s farm for a family day out, this is the place to visit. Families can come picnic and play together under our covered picnic areas, children can visit our farm friends, meet the farm hands, ride a pony and pedal tractor,
feed animals, and even get an animal autograph.
Maplewood offers many ways of experiencing the farm and its animals. There are self-guided tours, birthday parties , and even behind the scenes experiences where your kids can see what it’s like to be a farmer. They have also recently launched a new initiative called the Buy-A-Brick campaign. A great way to leave your mark (literally) and help support one of North Vancouver’s most treasured attractions.

This is a sponsored post but the opinions expressed are my own. I only ever write from my heart and from a place of utmost truth. All photos courtesy of Maplewood Farm. I wanted to include my own in the post, but cannot find them for the life of me since my computer was wiped clean and restored.
