We are so fortunate to live within driving distance to one of the most beautiful places in the world, Whistler, BC.  Growing up, Whistler was a second home to me as our family was a big ski family.  We spent most weekends up at Whistler during the winter.  As we got older, we started recognizing how incredible Whistler is in the summer as well.  Now, I honestly can’t pick whether the winter or the summer season at Whistler is my favourite.  There is so much to do in the winter, but the summer brings its own fun with all the bike trails, days at Lost Lake, water sports and all the activities going on at the base of the mountains.

One of the greatest family events of the summer is the annual Whistler Children’s Festival.  Whether you are driving up for a day, or spending a few nights up at Whistler, you and your kidlets are going to want to make sure to attend this great event.  There are over a dozen workshops for your kids to partake in including African Stories, Bear Paw Print T-Shirts, Theatre Games, and so many more!

We attended the event 2 years ago and one of Portia’s favourite parts of the event was the line up of performers over the weekend.  It’s really constant entertainment!
