Every year for as long as I can remember, my family and I would walk down the street and find a spot to watch the West Vancouver Community Day parade from. When we were in elementary school, we were usually IN the parade, which was always a highlight!
Community Day is always the first Saturday in June, so we don’t have much longer to wait!
Here is a sneak peek at an event that you and your family will surely love! Fingers crossed the rain holds off!

Doggy Parade and Costume Contest – new!
New this year is the Doggy Parade aimed to not only have our pets join the rest of the family in a community celebration, but also to celebrate responsible pet ownership, such as licensing and picking up after your dog. All licensed dogs are welcome to participate. The Doggy Parade is held on the Community Day Parade Route and will take place right before the main parade of floats and community groups. Prizes will be presented to the best dressed dogs of the day – crowning them King and Queen of the doggy costume contest. Costumes are not mandatory for Doggy Parade participation.
