When was the last time you looked at your medicine cabinet?  Take a look and what do you see?  I bet that many of the products you see are synthetic, toxic, addictive, and expensive and they may even be dangerous to your health.  Chances are that you would love to replace those pills and potions with safer, holistic options for you and your family.

Get this. High quality, pure grade essential oils can actually help alleviate common, everyday ailments such as headaches, colds and even aches and pains.  Plant-based essential oils can even replace your toxic household cleaners, which can also contribute to the toxic load that can result in your body.  Wouldn’t you love to wash you or your child’s clothes in a clean solution that cost pennies to make?

My own story with essential oils began when I was introduced to doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils.  After dealing with a health scare as a result of high-stress and digestive issues, I was frustrated with the lack of holistic health remedies that my doctor provided.  I decided to take control of my own health through a plant-focused diet, lifestyle changes and decreasing my toxic load.

Essential oils are non water-based phytochemicals made up of volatile aromatic compounds. Essential oils are very clean, almost crisp,to the touch and are immediately absorbed by the skin. Pure, unadulterated essential oils are translucent and range in color from crystal clear to deep blue.

Try this at home: Squeeze the peel of a ripe citrus fruit such as an orange or grapefruit. The fragrant residue on your hand is full of essential oils from nature.

doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils are the highest quality you can purchase. Due to their indigenous sourcing, extraction methods, testing and purity, you can use them on everyone from babies to pets!

Here are my top three favourite oils for everyday use:

I love using essential oils – I have a health kit where I use them on the go for stress, headaches, breathing better etc. And I use them in my diffuser. But I just found out that I can use peppermint oil to keep spiders away. I’m going to try this!

We love to use essential oils for massages as most massage oils on the market don’t smell as good unless we add our own good smelling oils :)

I use tea tree oil as a disinfectant, and I make a spray with water and peppermint oil that cools us down wonderfully on hot summer days.
