We have had the greatest Spring Break so far. Oh my goodness! Where to even begin? It started with almost 2 weeks in Zihuatanejo, Mexico which led to 2 days at Disneyland and now we’re in polishing off the last few days off of school with a week in Palm Springs.
So much swimming. So much sun. So much fun!
With a 5 year old and 3 year old, I don’t feel right including ‘so much relaxation’ on that list of ‘SO MUCH’ but I think the girls definitely feel chilled out and ready to get back to some Vancouver normalcy.
The first two weeks in Mexico, we had limited access to internet. Read: NO Netflix. It took some adjusting, as our household is typically heavily reliant on Netflix. We recently cut TV out of our weekday mornings, but after a long day at school (and while I am trying to make dinner) I definitely throw on the kids’ favourite shows. Not to mention weekend mornings where we encourage shows to try and get an extra hour of sleep.
For the girls, there is only so much heat and sunshine that they can handle in a day. In the ‘refuge from the sun’ times, they have been playing with their LEGO and LEGO Friends with their daddy. Building away and working on getting those little pieces together with those little fingers. Portia, is a little more ‘patient’ than Madeleine, but that is to be expected from a 5 year old versus a 3 year old, I think 😉
Well, the kids are going to be SUPER excited about what’s newly available on Netflix when we get home. LEGO Bionicle and LEGO Friends are two new series now playing on Netflix. For all the LEGO lovers out there, these are for you!
I hope everyone has been enjoying their Spring Break!
