Portia cracks me up. She drives me nuts on any given day, but she also makes me laugh harder than anyone else can. It’s amazing what a little 3 year old is capable of, really!
One thing that I find particularly humorous about Portia and ‘her ways’ is that she likes all things “teeny”, “tiny”, and “fall” (Portia-speak for ‘small’). Her food is best enjoyed when cut up in little pieces, she is over-the-moon for her little baby sister and her favourite toys are LITTLE.
You can imagine how exciting it was for Portia to discover Fisher Price’s “Little People”. If you can’t, I’ll give you a hint. VERY exciting! Exciting to the point of scooping her newest Little People up under her arms every night and bringing them into her bed so they can sleep beside her at night. It’s pretty cute!
Every child is unique, and Little People® wants to celebrate that with their FIVE new characters: Eddie, Mia, Sofie, Tessa and Koby. Portia’s favourite of the new bunch is Mia. I always find it so interesting to see which toys Portia will take to and wish so badly I could pop into her mind to understand why. You can learn more about the new characters here.
Portia chose to include her little people in her sensory bin play. In other words, they got stirred around and bathed in some red lentils.
I have a feeling more Little People are in our future.
It’s a good thing that for the month of November, Treehouse is holding the Little People, Big Discoveries contest. Contestants will be able to play a hide and seek game to find new characters on playsets, watch the videos and be entered to win 1 of 5 $265 Little People Prize packs.
