Halloween at Value Village (+ WIN!) Halloween at Value Village (+ WIN!)
It’s been a while since I’ve been to Value Village, but last week I attended a blogging event (that I even helped organize).  There... Halloween at Value Village (+ WIN!)

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Value Village, but last week I attended a blogging event (that I even helped organize).  There was a group of about 10 of us and we were there specifically to check out what Value Village has to offer as far as Halloween costumes and decorations go.  And OH WOW… do they ever have A LOT!  I had NO IDEA.

Value Village Thrift or Treat

Hats for miles!

We were at the Hastings St. location and the entire top floor of the store is brand NEW Halloween items to choose from. There are even more costumes on the main floor, in used condition, but I was focussed mostly on the selection of new pieces.

So many WIGS!

So many WIGS!

I couldn’t get over how many wigs there were.  For men, for women and for children! Now that Portia is 4 years old, we feel like she’s going to want to get out trick or treating this year, so I was on the hunt for costumes for the whole family.  They really had it all at Value Village… and you really can’t beat the prices!

Kiddie costumes!

Kiddie costumes!

There are costumes for kids of every age.  From infant to teen, the choices are endless!

There was even a wall of costume makeup and accessories to compliment the costume you choose.  Unbeknownst to my husband, he is going to be a skeleton this year for Halloween, so I picked up some of the black and white face paints 😉

Lisa, of Spokesmama, and I got into the spirit of the costume shopping event!

And Heather, of Word of Mom Marketing, and Arieanna, of Active Mama, showed off some of the decorations available.

There were decorations for those who like to spook their neighbours and some ‘tamer’ options as well, like giggling pumpkins and witches cauldrons.

We had fun shopping as a group and hearing what everyone’s kids wanted to be this year for Halloween.  I managed to get costumes for the whole family for just over $50!

The lovely bloggers involved in this event, in partnership with Value Village would like to give YOU the opportunity to go on your own Halloween shopping spree.  By using the Rafflecopter form below, you can enter to WIN a $100 voucher to spend on any items of your choice at Value Village.

My favourite Halloween tradition is trick-or-treating. My parents took me as a child, and now we love taking our own children. It’s so much fun to go with the neighbourhood kids, and to run into so many friends from school etc while we are out.
