We had finally gotten to the point with our (then) 2 year old where we no longer had to worry about her accidentally popping something foreign into her mouth (I didn’t say she doesn’t put foreign objects up her nose!), when baby number 2 came along and we are back on choking hazard alert 24-7.
There are many toys in our playroom that were fine to be there 2 months ago, but now that we have a crawling and climbing baby, we are constantly clearing out our toy bins of teeny tiny bite-sized items.
It is always a relief when we discover toys that our 3 year old enjoys playing with and that is also safe for our 7 month old. When Firetruck Finn (from the Mega Bloks First Builder’s collection) arrived at our doorstep, I was pretty excited to see how he’d fit into his new family!
Look how cute he is!
Good looks aside, this toy is a hit with our 3 year old (who loves anything “planes, trains, and automobiles”) AND there are no choking hazards, so our teensiest can play with Finn to her heart’s content as well.
The bright colours are extra appealing to the wee ones. It’s nice and lightweight too, so I don’t worry about her tiny fingers getting squished.
Spinning the wheels like it’s nobody’s business.
