Though we don’t celebrate Easter as a religious holiday, every since I was little, Easter has been a holiday filled with family, a big roast dinner and lots of chocolate!
This year for Easter long weekend, we are in Palm Springs visiting my parents and taking in Coachella Weekend 2. We have the girls with us and we brought some special Easter treats along for our egg hunt we’ll be doing on Sunday!
As an ambassador for Kinder® (and being a Kinder Mom), we were spoiled once again with these goodies.
We’re thinking the egg hunt will probably need to be indoors this year, because of the nice warm weather we’re getting here and I’ve already started scouting out where all the Kinder Eggs will spend the night on Saturday night, ready to be sought out on Sunday morning. I’m pretty excited to see Madeleine partake in the fun this year, as she was only 1 month old last year for Easter. I’m guessing she’ll love watching Portia discover the eggs and still won’t really know what’s going on, but will giggle and waddle around happily.
Since we are not in our ‘regular’ environment with access to paints and other craft supplies at home, I’ve started looking into little activities we can do this Easter with Portia. Portia (age 3.5 years) is really into connect the dot activities right now, so I popped onto good ol’ Pinterest and found a great selection of Easter-themed dot-to-dot pages that we can print off and work on. It’s nice for Portia (and for us) that she finally likes little quiet time activities! I’m sure a few of these will be a nice midday break from the sun for her.
Other than the yummy chocolate, it’s nice to be behind a company that gives back too!
Once again, Kinder® has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network and will be providing 12 baskets to CMN hospitals. As well, Kinder® will be donating another $25,000 to help support this non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals across North America.
Happy Easter everyone!
