It's Wednesday. The weekend feels so close yet still so far away. It's that awkward post-nap, pre-dinner time of day. Your kidlets are revitalised and you should probably get them out of the house, but dinner won't cook itself, so you're racking your brain for a fun, and hopefully outdoor (weather permitting) activity. Enter the "Midweek Mini"! A quick little sumptin' sumptin' to keep everyone happy! This week's Midweek Mini is tiny wooden birdhouse painting (or any little wooden object of your choice). All you need is a wooden birdhouse, some paint and some brushes.  We got all of these materials at our local Dollar store and the total was less than $5. The fun was priceless. Well, here we are! It's the year 2013! YIKES.  The gift giving is done, the mall madness has died down, the holidays are over and there are just a few platters of Christmas cookies left to be eaten. When it comes to my North Shore Mama blog, one of the goals I have had has been to bring back a little weekly post I used to do called Midweek Minis.  I'm not sure what it is about the Midweek Minis posts that make me so happy, but I have really missed writing them and I hope that reading them will bring as much joy to you as creating them brings to me.  Originally, I made this a New Year's resolution, but changed my mind and decided that if it really meant a lot to me, that I should just do it... There has been a change in weather this week in Vancouver. The mornings are starting to feel a little bit FALL-ish. The fall means different things for different people, but for me it means it is time to go back to work! YIKES. This week has brought big changes for our family as our daughter started daycare for the first time. I wrote about the big day here. Who else is starting new adventures in the fall? Hello Wednesday.  Fancy seeing you here in the middle of the week! I hope everyone has had a great first half of the week. It's all downhill from here! Did you hear about the hummingbird rescue? As you might have noticed from my site design, I love those little guys! I made the most delicious Oat Pancakes for breakfast this morning. A blog I love. When you place your hand over your heart... Hubby and I recently celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary. I walked down the aisle to this beautiful song by Basia Bulat. It's Wednesday.  How is your week going so far?  We are having a great week, because it only feels like Tuesday, Monday having been a holiday!
