Catching Up On The Oscar Winning Movies With Optik TV (+GIVEAWAY!)
GiveawaysNews March 8, 2017 Jessica Blumel 23

One of the things I am really good at is wanting to see every single Oscar nominated movie (on the big screen!) before the Oscars. Actually SEEING the movies, is another thing entirely. I am so far out of the loop with movies and the theatre experience, it’s not even funny. To give an example, the only 2 movies I have seen in theatres in the last couple of years have been SING and Trolls. Both great movies, mind you, but… I was definitely there as a way to chill out for a couple of hours with my kids (a.k.a a moment of calm for mommy). Seeing anything above the G rating hasn’t happened in FOREVER.
I have come to accept my situation when it comes to movie-going. Peace has been made with the fact that my dream of seeing all the buzz-worthy titles before the Oscars is just not in my cards at this stage in my life. I literally watch the Oscars now for the dresses and the performances and have zero idea which actor played which role in which movie directed by… WHO?
While I definitely missed my fair share of popular movies while they were still at the cinema, I plan on staying current (or at least catching up) by watching some of the Oscar winning films from the comfort of my own couch. In pyjamas. Drinking wine. Maybe this is better than the movie theatre after all!! 😛 This weekend is supposed to be more gross weather, so I know what I’ll be doing!
