Basics for Babies Fundraiser
On Sunday, July 7th, Fit For Life Personal Training is hosting a fundraiser for “Basics for Babies”. Everyone is asked to bring a donation of $10 for the charity. Every penny will go to help support families and babies who depend on the Greater Vancouver Food Bank on a daily basis.
Our event is at Fit Factor, 1326 Main Street in North Vancouver, and will take place from 10am-12pm, just enough time to meet some local families from the community and get in a great work out! Whether or not you have kids, this is a challenge to the women of our community to get out there and get some exercise for a great cause, and if you’re a dad looking to participate, you’re more than welcome as well. Basically, it’s a family affair, so bring the kids and have some fun!
Starting at 10:00am we will have a few different stations set up at our gym in exchange for your donation:
1- Agility and Cardio
2- Body Weight and Core
3- Basic Kickboxing Technique
4- Karate Drills for the little ones
Each station will be about 15 minutes long, and you’re invited to participate in one, two, or all 3 of them, so bring your running shoes, water, and some comfortable clothing.
While the adults are working up a sweat, the kids can learn a little karate and get a chance to hit some targets, something I am sure they will all love if they’re anything like my boys.
DOOR PRIZE: Everyone who participates on July 7th will have their name entered to WIN a 1-hour personal training session with Fit For Life as well as a free mommy & me class!
So please mark it down on your calendar and tell your friends, colleagues and family. Let’s see how much we can raise for “Basics for Babies”!
The Basics for Babies program, founded and operated by JRFM in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, assists families coping with the challenges of raising a young infant by providing them with needed food, formula and diapers. Find out how you can participate or call 604.731.7772.
I’ll be back next week with the numbers and more tips and techniques for getting in shape. See you all on the 7th!
